Engage! 2011 is co-located in the Javits Convention Center alongside American International Toy Fair, the largest youth products show in North America. More than just toys, Toy Fair is attended by a who’s who of leading companies focused on the burgeoning youth market. Engage is not a toy-focused event but Engage does have several tracks focused on youth digital entertainment.

Through the partnership, Engage Conference attendees have full access to the Toy Fair show floor and the full 25,000 Toy Fair attendees (including 1,000 members of the media) have full access to the Engage Expo show floor.

Attendees include: game developers, toy manufacturers, film/TV production companies, investors/venture capitalists, animation companies, entertainment companies, mobile companies, consumer brands, advertising/marketing executives, brand marketers, licensing firms, online and mobile focused startups, industry analysts, media, and retail buyers.

What dates will the two shows be held?

The 108th annual Toy Fair will be held February 13-16, 2011
The 5th annual Engage! Expo will overlap with Toy Fair on February 15-16, 2011

The two events will bring together more than 25,000 attendees, including 1,000 members of the media.

Where are the shows taking place?

Engage! Expo and Toy Fair will both will take place in the Jacob K Javits Convention Center in New York City. Engage! Conference and Expo floors are located on Level 1 in Hall E.  The Engage! Javits entrance is at the corner of the building on 11th Ave and 34th St, facing 11 Avenue. Toy Fair will occupy the entire rest of Javits. You won’t be able to miss it.

Why are Engage! Expo and Toy Fair co-locating?

Bringing these two important events for the youth entertainment market under one roof will make it easier for our shared audiences to capitalize on the digital media concepts and programming presented at Engage! Expo and the exposure to buyers and exhibitors that can be found at Toy Fair.

Youth entertainment companies are leveraging digital tools – cameras, communication and music devices, online Internet sharing software, social gaming and web-connected toys – to further enhance consumer interaction with their brands.

Who produces Toy Fair?

Toy Fair is produced by Toy Industry Association (TIA). TIA is the not-for-profit trade association for producers and importers of toys and youth entertainment products sold in North America, representing over 500 companies who account for approximately 85% of domestic toy sales. Toy safety is the number one priority for the toy industry. TIA has a long history of leadership in toy safety including development of the first comprehensive toy safety standard more than 30 years ago, and working with government, consumers and industry on ongoing programs to ensure safe play.
